Hello! I'm Becca Gips, owner + designer of Spice Paper Designs. Spice Paper Designs was born from a love of creating pretty things. That's it, really.

In the beginning (2007!), it was all custom work - wedding and shower and birthday invitations, announcements, and notecards. Each designed from scratch. After having my first baby in 2010, the business transitioned to commercial graphic design work creating logos and branding materials but I missed paper - I love paper! - and I had an idea to create a collection.

So, in 2018, in a pivot to design for my own everyday life, this next iteration of the business was launched. We don't have to wait for a special occasion to have beautiful paper goods! I decided on just a 20 color palette, which I still use today, to create each and every design. I wanted each piece to look like it was in the Spice Paper Designs family but also wanted to give flexibilty and ease in layering pieces together.  Stickers and tags will always coordinate with all of the double-sided gift wrap. Notepads and notebooks can be bundled together for a delightfully cohesive gift. I love pattern and moments of surprise and will tuck a design on the back side of just about anything (tags! gift wrap! notecards! liners!). It all makes me very happy.
